Specs

Powertrain

At the heart of this Camaro sits a formidable 6.2-liter Chevy Performance LS-based engine, delivering a stout 525 horsepower. The modern LS platform provides exceptional reliability, throttle response, and performance while maintaining the clean, purposeful character expected of a serious pro-touring build.

Supporting systems include a PRC cooling system to maintain optimal operating temperatures and a Wegner LSX accessory drive system, ensuring both reliability and a clean, organized engine bay presentation.

Power is delivered through a T56 6-speed manual transmission, paired with a Bowler shifter that provides crisp, mechanical engagement. A Tilton clutch and flywheel assembly ensures the drivetrain handles the engine’s output with confidence while maintaining smooth drivability.

Chassis & Suspension

To match its modern power, this Camaro is built around proven performance engineering from Detroit Speed. The Detroit Speed front suspension dramatically improves handling, steering precision, and ride quality compared to the factory setup, transforming the classic Camaro into a machine capable of modern road performance.

The upgraded chassis and suspension combination provides exceptional balance and control, allowing the car to perform as well on the road as it does on the show field.

Wheels & Stance

Filling the wheel wells are Forgeline wheels, measuring 18×9 up front and a substantial 18×11.5 in the rear. This staggered configuration provides both visual authority and the grip necessary to harness the Camaro’s 525 horsepower.

Combined with the mini-tubbed rear and carefully tuned suspension geometry, the stance is aggressive yet refined—perfectly complementing the first-generation Camaro’s iconic proportions.

Body & Fabrication

The bodywork reflects the meticulous craftsmanship that defines MB Hot Rods builds. The firewall has been fully smoothed, creating a clean, modern engine bay presentation that highlights the LS powerplant.

Additional fabrication includes 3-inch mini-tubs, allowing for the wide rear wheel and tire combination while preserving the car’s factory silhouette. Subtle enhancements to the body lines refine the Camaro’s already muscular design, giving the car a sharper and more cohesive presence.

Paint & Exterior Finish

The Camaro is finished in Axalta Rosso Corsa Red, a color known for its deep, vibrant tone and show-quality visual impact. The finish highlights every contour of the Camaro’s bodywork, from the sculpted fenders to the enhanced character lines.

Under show lighting or bright sunlight, the Rosso Corsa Red finish delivers a rich depth and clarity that immediately commands attention.

Interior & Driver Environment

Inside, the Camaro blends classic design with modern instrumentation. The OEM dash maintains the authentic character of the original interior while integrating Dakota Digital gauges for precise, modern readouts.

The interior upholstery was crafted by Steve Holcomb, whose work is well known for combining comfort, craftsmanship, and show-level presentation. The result is a cabin that feels purposeful and refined—perfectly suited to both spirited driving and high-end show display.
