Specs

Powertrain

At the heart of the build is a Chevrolet Performance LS3, enhanced by a Whipple 2.9L supercharger that delivers instant throttle response and formidable power across the rev range. The combination provides the modern reliability and brutal acceleration expected from a contemporary high-performance build.

Backing the supercharged small-block is a Tremec T-56 six-speed manual transmission, paired with a McLeod clutch assembly for precise engagement and driver control. Power is transferred through a GearFX F9 rear axle equipped with Truetrac differential and 3.50 gears, offering the strength and traction required to handle the boosted LS power.

Cooling and reliability are supported by a Fluidyne aluminum radiator with SPAL electric fans, while Detroit Speed headers feeding into a Borla Pro XS exhaust system provide both efficient flow and an unmistakably aggressive performance tone.

Chassis & Suspension

To match the power under the hood, this Camaro rides on a comprehensive Detroit Speed suspension system designed to transform the driving experience.

Up front, a Detroit Speed hydroformed front suspension combined with rack-and-pinion steering delivers precise response and improved geometry compared to the factory setup. Out back, the Detroit Speed Quadra-Link rear suspension dramatically enhances traction, ride quality, and handling balance.

Stopping power is supplied by Wilwood performance brakes, providing the confidence and braking capability expected of a modern pro-touring machine.

Wheels & Stance

The Camaro’s stance is purposeful and aggressive, anchored by Forgeline GA3 wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich Rival G-Force tires. The combination provides exceptional grip while visually filling the wheel wells with a balanced, performance-oriented fitment.

Complemented by Detroit Speed mini-tubs, the rear accommodates wider rubber, giving the car both the traction and the muscular posture expected from a high-end pro-touring Camaro.

Body & Fabrication

Subtle but thoughtful upgrades throughout the body elevate this build beyond a typical restoration.

Detroit Speed mini-tubs allow for wider rear tires while maintaining clean factory-style proportions. The engine bay benefits from Anvil Automotive carbon fiber inner fenders, adding both visual contrast and lightweight performance detail.

Exterior hardware upgrades include BBT Fabrication door handles and side mirrors, while Ringbrothers hood and trunk hinges add precision-engineered functionality and premium finishing touches.

At the rear, Marquez Designs taillights modernize the Camaro’s signature look while maintaining the classic character of the original design.

Paint & Exterior Finish

The Camaro is finished in PPG’s “Blue-Me-Away,” a vibrant, high-impact blue that showcases the car’s sculpted body lines and muscular proportions. The finish carries exceptional depth and clarity, delivering the kind of visual presence expected from a professionally crafted custom build.

Complemented by PPG glass and carefully refined trim details, the exterior presentation is both clean and contemporary while still honoring the unmistakable identity of the 1969 Camaro.

Interior & Driver Environment

Inside, the cockpit blends modern performance ergonomics with refined craftsmanship.

Recaro performance seats provide both comfort and lateral support, creating a driver-focused environment suited for spirited driving. The dashboard is equipped with Dakota Digital gauges and Dakota Digital cruise control, bringing modern instrumentation and functionality into the vintage cabin.

Additional upgrades include Clayton Machine Works pedals, a RetroSound stereo system, and a complete American Autowire Highway 22 wiring harness for modern electrical reliability. Climate comfort is handled by a Sanden SDV air conditioning system, ensuring the car remains enjoyable regardless of the weather.
