Powertrain

At the heart of this build sits a modern LS3-based small-block V8, enhanced with a 416 cubic inch stroker package that significantly elevates both torque and overall performance character. Known for its durability and explosive power delivery, the stroked LS platform provides the kind of immediate throttle response and broad powerband that transforms the driving experience of the third-generation Camaro.

Backing the engine is a Tremec 6-speed manual transmission, giving the driver full control over the car’s performance while allowing the engine to stretch its legs both on the street and on track.

One of the most significant engineering decisions in this build is the relocation of the engine five inches rearward in the chassis, dramatically improving front-to-rear weight distribution and overall handling balance—an upgrade rarely seen outside of serious competition-level builds.

Chassis & Suspension

To complement the enhanced power and rebalanced chassis, this Camaro is equipped with a complete Detroit Speed suspension system, widely regarded as one of the most refined performance platforms available for pro-touring builds.

Up front and out back, dual-adjustable Detroit Speed dampers allow the suspension to be precisely tuned for both street comfort and aggressive cornering.

At the rear, the car benefits from a Detroit Speed QuadraLink rear suspension, replacing the factory setup with a far more sophisticated geometry that improves traction, stability, and overall control.

A Ger FX rear-end housing anchors the drivetrain, providing the strength required to handle the torque produced by the stroked LS engine.

Wheels, Tires & Braking

Filling the wheel wells are premium Forgeline wheels, chosen for their lightweight construction and motorsports pedigree.

  • Front: 18×10 Forgeline wheels

  • Tires: Michelin Pilot Super Sport

Bringing the car down from speed is a serious Wilwood braking system featuring massive 14-inch rotors, delivering the stopping power expected from a modern performance machine while maintaining excellent pedal feel and fade resistance.

The combination of modern suspension geometry, wide performance tires, and race-proven braking hardware gives this IROC the road-holding confidence to match its aggressive powertrain.

Body & Fabrication

This build involved significant structural and fabrication work to bring the chassis up to modern standards.

During the process, the right quarter panel and driver-side floor pan were replaced, ensuring a solid foundation for the performance upgrades and structural reinforcements.

Inside the cabin, a custom roll cage was fabricated to increase rigidity and safety while reinforcing the car’s track-ready personality.

Paint & Exterior Finish

The exterior is finished in Axalta Chromax XP Wolf Gray, a sophisticated modern shade that emphasizes the Camaro’s angular third-gen body lines while giving the car a contemporary, high-end appearance.

The finish offers a deep, metallic tone that shifts subtly under changing light, providing the kind of refined visual presence expected from a professionally built custom vehicle.

Interior & Driver Environment

Inside, the Camaro adopts a purposeful motorsports-inspired cockpit.

Sparco racing seats provide excellent lateral support for spirited driving, while a racing steering column further reinforces the car’s performance-focused character.

Despite the track-ready atmosphere, comfort hasn’t been overlooked. A Restomod Air air-conditioning system ensures modern climate control, making the car equally enjoyable for street driving and long-distance cruising.

The combination of race-inspired equipment and thoughtful integration creates an interior that feels both serious and refined.
